Finish the Story: Gee’s Bend: Welcome to the Hole Documentary Fundraiser

Gee’s Bend: Welcome to the Hole is a powerful Black history documentary capturing the artistry, resilience, and activism of the Gee’s Bend, Alabama community. Known worldwide for their African American quilting heritage and the Freedom Quilting Bee Legacy, Gee’s Bend residents played a pivotal role in the Civil Rights Movement, using art as both a form of resistance and a tool for change. This independent film fundraiser supports our final production, archival licensing, and community impact screenings. By contributing, you help preserve a living archive of American folk art quilts, Black storytelling, and Southern history for future generations.
