Join Us in Preserving Black History Through Film
We’re raising funds to complete our documentary, Gee’s Bend: Welcome to the Hole, a powerful exploration of Gee’s Bend, Alabama, an epicenter of Black creativity, survival, and resistance. This documentary captures the cultural and historical importance of the community, whose handmade quilts have gained international acclaim and whose legacy ties directly to the Civil Rights Movement.
Since launching the project in December 2022, we’ve raised $34,600, just under half of our $75,000 goal. Your support can help us finish strong and ensure this story is told with the nuance and care it deserves.
