My students at Eno River Academy have been awarded the Bright Ideas Education Grant from Piedmont Electric Cooperative!
This grant will allow our students to create high-quality work while learning the stages of the filmmaking process. Students will take on real production roles, including director, cinematographer, editor, sound recordist, and producer, gaining practical experience that mirrors real-world media production.
With the support of the grant, we’ll purchase new tools that will significantly elevate the quality of student work:
Camera Gear
Lighting Kits
Sound Equipment
These upgrades will enhance every project we produce, improving image quality, lighting control, and sound clarity, while giving students the chance to work with professional-grade equipment.
This is more than just access to new technology; it’s a step toward empowering young creators to tell stories that reflect their school, community, and values.
I’m deeply thankful to Piedmont Electric Cooperative for supporting arts education and innovative classroom experiences that combine creativity, technology, and storytelling.
